What a great way to start Valentine's Day! I drove my Valentine about 10 miles out into the country (starting from a small town) and turned down a muddy dirt road with large patches of snow and ice. After determining that the risk of getting stuck was too high, I abandoned her in the car (suggesting she take a fitness walk) and headed out for the last couple of miles on foot with Google maps and notes to guide me towards the border. It actually felt good to get a longer border run in. Also, I saw no other runners!
